Year 6 Visit the Gurdwara Sahib

On Tuesday the 10th of January Year 6 visited the Gurdwara Sahib on the Soho road, Birmingham. The Gurdwara Sahib, which was built in the late 1970’s, warmly welcomed Year 6 in.

The children had research and studied the faith before going on the trip and were eager to find out more through primary research. Our guide was extremely helpful and answered all the children’s questions.

We were shown into the main Dabar (pray hall), the Langar (food hall) and viewed the specular doomed room where a Muslim man had fitted over a million piece of mirrored glass.

Year 6 have, in pairs, created and presented power point presentations of their trip and knowledge they have gained to their class.
