Throughout the last term, Year 6 worked together to think of ways in which they could help others. Together, they decided that they wanted to focus on raising awareness of the work done by the British Heart Foundation. At school, they put together an assembly to raise awareness of their aims and the work of the BHF and then organised a fundraising day in which all children were involved, as they invited all classes to take part in a treasure hunt around the school grounds and sold a range of delicious cakes and biscuits afterwards!
The children put a lot of effort into organising these events and led the activities with maturity throughout the day. So far, Year 6 has made an amazing £182 for the British Heart Foundation! Well done!
Thank you for those who have donated – your generosity is greatly appreciated!
