Today, Monday 27th June, each class welcomed our parents to join them in learning about prayer. Many practical ways were used to teach the children about prayer. We have used art work, sang, created stained glass windows, recognised that jellybean sweets can represent a part of Jesus’ life and much more!
Year 1 had a visit from the Bishop Walsh Chaplaincy Team in Years 7 and 8. Together they were able to write their group prayer and add in actions too! Some children were awarded a Chaplaincy badge to show how spiritual and creative they were.
Dan Callow from One Life Music visited us on Tuesday as part of our Mission Week. We were taught some new songs and had the opportunity to write our own prayers about how we can shine the light of Jesus to others.
Today we closed our Mission Week with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Deacon Daniel came into school and celebrated this momentous occasion with us before we presented the work that we had completed this week.
